Teresa Ann Wood, aged 55, passed away on January 9, 2023, in Winona, Missouri. She was born on September 6, 1967, to Fayetta Pauline (Leslie) Martin and Dale Bonapart Smith in West Plains, Missouri.
She was united in marriage to Nolan A. Barkley, and to this union had her daughter, Andria Barkley. Teresa then later was united in marriage to Dwain Wood, where she then gave birth to Frankie Wood. Several years after Teresa’s divorce from Dwain, she had another relationship where she then gave birth to her third child, Casey Smith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Smith; her brother, David Norris; and her daughter, Frankie Wood.
She is survived by her two daughters, Andria Barkley and Casey Smith; her mother, Fayetta Martin; her sisters, Debbie Conner, Barbara Campbell, and Joyce Yates; her brothers, Don Norris and Roger Norris; and her four grandchildren, Calee, Cyris, Harper, and Hennissie Chitwood.
Teresa had a long fulfilling life. She was very creative and could do almost anything she put her mind to. She spent a lot of her time making crafts. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, beadwork, and much more. Teresa also enjoyed cooking; she cooked many amazing meals for her family and was especially known for making her special Christmas candies during the holidays for her family to enjoy. Teresa worked at Billy Faulkenberry’s for many years, where she was able to put her creative talents to use. Teresa loved her family very much. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.
Graveside service will be held at a later date, which we will post on social media, where all friends and family can see, and will be more than welcome to attend. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Winona, Missouri.
