Timothy Duane Walser, 54 of Elk Creek, Missouri passed away in his home November 2, 2026. Timothy was born August 25, 1972, in Pecos Texas to Gary and Sherry Walser. In 1977, Tim and his family moved and settled in Texas County, Missouri where he grew up and attended school.
Not long after graduating, Tim met Jennie Monteleone, and the two began a life together. They were married for 17 years and welcomed four children, who would become one of the most important parts of his life. Over the years, his family continued to grow, bringing him the joy of becoming a grandfather.
Tim, a hardworking man built his career through dedication, determination, and a willingness to take on almost any challenge. His professional journey took him through several different industries and locations. He began working in the offshore oil field industry for SedcoForex-Schlumberger, where he worked his way up to the position of Derrickman. He later graduated from the Sheriff’s academy and dedicated many years to law enforcement, serving his community as a Sheriff’s Deputy for Texas County and as a Police Officer for the City of Cabool. His career continued within the Missouri Federal Prison System. He also served as Head of Maintenance, overseeing and maintaining HVAC systems at Fort Leonard Wood.
While his work took him down many different paths, Tim also knew how to enjoy life outside of the job. He had a genuine love for cars and could regularly be found working on them, always enjoying the opportunity to tinker, fix, or make something run a little better or a little faster. He also enjoyed growing a large garden and took pride in growing the ingredients for his own homemade salsa. He also loved grilling and smoking meat, especially brisket for his family. If Tim was firing up the smoker, chances were good that he was sharing what he made with others along with his love for music. Good food was even better when there were people around to enjoy it.
Those who knew Tim also knew his sense of humor. He was a jokester who loved a good laugh and rarely missed an opportunity to share a joke or give someone a hard time in good fun. His humor, personality and ability to find amusement in everyday moments were part of what made him uniquely Tim.
Tim leaves behind a family that will carry his memory forward, including his children: Courtney Walser of Newburg, Missouri and her three children; Tara Henderson, her husband Tim of Springfield, Missouri, and their two children; Taylor Walser, his wife Brooke of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and their three children: Ashley Walser of Rolla Missouri and her two children, and Gabrielle Walser who resides with her mother in Springfield, Missouri.
He is also survived by his parents. His father and stepmother, Gary and Evangeline Walser of the Philippines, and mother, Sherry Walser of Elk Creek. His siblings, Chris and Jessy Walser of High Ridge, Daniel Walser of Elk Creek, Amanda and Adam Huntley of O’Fallon Illinois, Tracey Walser of Springfield, Rebecca and Robert Mills of Raymondville Missouri, Shandon Walser, California, Shanna Walser California, Garrie Mae Walser of Missouri. Along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins and many others lives he touched.
One of the most special relationships in Tim’s life was the bond he shared with his brother Daniel. The two had a connection built on laughter, companionship, and the simple joy of spending time together. Whether they were watching movies, poking fun at one another, sharing a few laughs, or heading out to grab a good burger, they knew how to enjoy each other’s company. Tim also took great delight in sneaking Daniel a candy bar or two, much to the dismay of their mother, Sherry. It was one of those little brotherly traditions that brought plenty of smiles and perfectly captured Tim’s playful nature. Their relationship was a special kind of brotherhood, one filled with love, laughter, mischief, and memories that Daniel and the entire family will cherish forever.
Tim’s life was one of hard work, family, changing paths, good food, cars, and plenty of laughter. He leaves behind memories that will live on in the stories shared around family tables, the jokes repeated over the years, the meals prepared and enjoyed together, and the countless moments that made him who he was.
Timothy was baptized on December 2, 1984, along with his mother Sherry and his brother Christopher. He remained a devout Christian throughout his life. In his final years, his faith grew deeper and more central to who he was. He found joy in sharing gospel music with his mother and children as well as in their conversations about scripture, moments that became a treasured part of their bond.
Tim is now at peace with his heavenly Father. His light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
