Vicki Arlene Privett passed, unexpectedly, at her home in Alton on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Vicki was born to Arey and Beulah (Blankenship) Deckard on October 17, 1955, in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas.
Vicki is survived by her husband, Mel Privett, of Alton, three brothers, Rick Deckard (Tina), Randy Deckard, and Tim Deckard (Shannon); two sisters, Shelley Deckard and Jennifer Roe (James); three children, Kim Roberts (Jade Carney) of Columbia, three daughters, Halley Hollis, Makenzie Hollis, and Jaydn Hollis; Christopher Roberts (Stephanie) of Summersville, four sons, Jordan, Corey, Layton, and Greyson; Zachary Roberts (Christy) of Alton, sons, Kai Lowery, Cedar Roberts, and Jace Roberts; stepson Melvin Privett (Kimberly) of West Plains, sons, Jacob Privett, Chase Heath, and Bentley Vaughn, daughter, Jennifer Asbury (James) of West Plains; stepdaughter Ashlee White of Mountain View, son, Zeke Shaw, and daughters, Alexa and Aliyah White; and special friends, Shannon Duncan and Tracey Roe. Vicki was blessed with a large extended family including numerous nieces and nephews. Vicki boasted 10 great-grandchildren. Vicki was a loving wife and mother. She was a doting grandmother and great-grandmother.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Gail Bettis, and her first husband Kelly Gene Roberts.
Except for a short time at Fort Riley, Kansas, Vicki lived her entire life in Oregon County. Alton was her home. Vicki was a home maker for most of her adult life. Vicki worked with handicapped adults in the supported living environment for a few years. Vicki had a very big heart. She was truly concerned about the health and well-being of each of her clients. Vicki welcomed clients in our home. One of her clients enjoyed coming to our house to play on Vicki’s computer. Vicki touched many hearts and souls. She will be sorely missed.
Services will be1:00 pm Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Bro. Edward Casey officiating, burial in the Bailey Cemetery. Visitation Monday, 6:00-8:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Pallbearers: James Roe, Paul Roe, Bailon Roe, Jordan Roberts, Corey Roberts, and Layton Roberts.
