William Raymond New, Jr., a resident of Willow Springs, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Willow Care Nursing Home. He was born January 6, 1939 in Stayton, OR and was 80 years old.
William grew up in Oregon and attended the local schools. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. He spent part of his career as a police officer and later became a truck driver. William made friends with whomever he met, but in his later years, his constant companion was his little dog, “Wooly”. He would take Wooly with him everywhere he went. He loved to play video games, especially “Ratchet and Clank”. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
William is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Emma Vance of North Carolina; two brothers of Oregon; and a nephew, Matthew W. Shields of Willow Springs.
