St. Louis Cardinals President of Baseball Operations John Mozeliak announced several upcoming changes for the 2023 St. Louis Cardinals as Bench Coach Skip Shumaker has been hired as the Miami Marlins Manager, Hitting Coach Jeff Albert and Pitching Coach Mike Maddux have stepped down from their positions. There will be a familiar face back as Adam Wainwright will return for one last season, but with the retirement of Yadier Molina he will be throwing to a new battery mate as Mozeliak said the catcher position is high priority and will be done through trade or free agency
