The Royals lost their fourth straight game. Kansas City fell to the Oakland Athletics 5-4 at the Oakland Coliseum. Starting pitcher Angel Zerpa was charged his second loss after he allowed five runs, four earned, through three innings of work. Kyle Isbel and Salvador Perez both totaled two RBI in the losing effort. The Royals fell to 40-and-88. They will send left-hander Cole Ragans to the hill for the series finale against Oakland this afternoon.
