Blues earn win No. 1,967

With a 6-4 win against the Calgary Flames, the St. Louis Blues recorded their 1,967th win as a franchise on Saturday.

The number is significant because the Blues were part of the NHL’s expansion class in 1967 and began play during the 1967-68 season.

The Blues are now the second non-Original Six team to reach the milestone. Only the Philadelphia Flyers, who also entered the League in 1967, managed to reach the mark sooner.

St. Louis appeared in the Stanley Cup Final in each of its first three seasons in the League but finally captured their first title in 2019.

Fans can purchase merchandise commemorating the 1,967 wins milestone online at STLAuthentics.com. A specially-designed T-shirt features key players in the franchise history that range from Bobby and Barclay Plager, Brett Hull, Curtis Joseph, Bernie Federko and Al MacInnis through modern-day stars such as Ryan O’Reilly and Vladimir Tarasenko. Other merchandise includes a commemorative puck and silver mint coint. The collection is available while supplies last.

Since making their debut in 1967, the Blues are 1967-1665-432-136 (4,542 points).
