The Cardinals missed a chance to sweep the Atlanta Braves after losing 8-5 at Truist Park yesterday. Adam Wainwright was charged with his 11th loss of the season after surrendering six runs on eight hits in five-and-two-thirds innings. Tommy Edman drove in three runs in the losing effort. The Cardinals remain in last place in the NL Central at 61-and-79. Drew Rom starts for St. Louis against Cincinnati tonight.
