Cardinals 10, Pirates 5

The St. Louis Cardinals scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth during a 10-5 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals trailed by a run entering the inning, but Masyn Winn hit a solo home run to tie the game. Ivan Herrera knocked in the go-ahead run with a single later in the frame before the Cards poured it on. Brendan Donovan hit his 13th home run in the victory, and Michael McGreevy picked up his second win out of the pen. St. Louis is on a three-game winning streak. The 77-and-75 Cardinals send Erick Fedde to the mound against the Pirates tonight.

(St. Louis, MO) — The St. Louis Cardinals are shutting down one of their starting pitchers. The club placed Lance Lynn on the 15-day injured list with right knee inflammation yesterday. The injury will keep Lynn out for the rest of the 2024 season. Lynn earned a win over Pittsburgh on Tuesday. He finished his year with a 7-and-4 record and a 3.84 ERA in 23 starts.
