Tigers 4, Royals 2

The Royals were swept by the Tigers at their home ballpark for the first time this season. Kansas City fell to Detroit 4-2 in the three-game series finale at Kauffman Stadium. Yuli Gurriel and Salvador Perez each had two hits and an RBI in the setback. Starting pitcher Alec Marsh was charged the loss and dropped to 8-and-9 after allowing four runs in less than three innings of work. The Royals have lost four in a row and remain second in the AL Central at 82-and-71. They stay home to host the San Francisco Giants tomorrow night. Right-hander Michael Wacha is scheduled to start opposite San Fran righty Mason Black.
