The St. Louis Cardinals got off to a fast start during a 5-3 Opening Day win over the Minnesota Twins at Busch Stadium. Lars Nootbaar hit a two-run home run in the second inning as the Cards raced out to a 4-0 lead through three innings. Minnesota got within one before Nolan Arenado hit a solo shot in the eighth to put the game away. Sonny Gray earned his first win after giving up just two runs in five innings, and Ryan Helsley picked up the save. Erick Fedde starts for St. Louis against Minnesota tomorrow.
