Cardinals 7, Angels 6

The St. Louis Cardinals scored a pair of runs in the top of the seventh to beat the Los Angeles Angels 7-6 at Angel Stadium. The game was tied at five entering the inning before Alec Burleson hit a two-run shot to put St. Louis up for good. Pedro Pages added three RBI in the victory, and Sonny Gray earned his fifth win after surrendering five runs on eight his in six innings. The Cardinals are on a three-game winning streak. Logan O’Hoppe went deep in the losing effort, while Hunter Strickland was charged with his first loss in relief. The Angels have dropped five of six.
