The Kansas City Royals scored three runs in the top of the seventh to beat the Seattle Mariners 4-2 at T-Mobile Park. The Royals trailed by one entering the inning before Nelson Velazquez hit a three-run home run. Maikel Garcia added an insurance run with an RBI single in the eighth. Michael Wacha earned his third win after striking out seven and holding Seattle to one run on three hits in six innings, while James McArthur picked up his tenth save. Kansas City has won two of three. Luke Raley and Mitch Haniger went deep in the losing effort, and Logan Gilbert was charged with the loss after surrendering three runs on four hits in six-and-two-thirds innings. The M’s have dropped four of seven.
