Chicago Marathon Canceled Due To Coronavirus

The Chicago Marathon has been canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Organizers of the event, which was scheduled for October 11th, cited the challenge of staging the 45,000-runner event out of concern for the safety of runners, volunteers, event staff and spectators.

It’s the fourth World Marathon Major called off this year joining the Boston Marathon and New York City Marathon.
