Chiefs QB Carson Wentz ready to backup Mahomes

The Chiefs starting mandatory minicamp this week in June is important if the Chiefs want to be the first NFL team to win three straight Super Bowls in February. Carson Wentz, the former starting quarterback has been brought in to backup Patrick Mahomes

Wentz takes over for Chad Henne who suited up for 16 playoff games and did not play in 14. But the two he did play in helped keep KC’s season alive when Patrick Mahomes was injured. Against Cleveland in 2021 and Jacksonville last season, Henne went a combined 11-for-15 for 89 yards with a touchdown and interception.
