The Chiefs set their 53-man roster. All seven of this year’s draft picks made the opening roster. Andy Reid had 7th-round pick Garrett Nussmeier play the entire game Friday at quarterback.
There are still concerns about the offensive line; KC sent a 2028 sixth-round pick to Baltimore for rookie offensive lineman Diego Pounds, who went undrafted but did well in Ravens camp, not allowing a QB pressure in 26 pass attempts at left tackle. He wasn’t initially placed on the opening-day roster. The Chiefs did cut Esa Pole, who started four games on the O-line last season.
