Chiefs training camp

The Chiefs are back on the field for another week of practice. Kansas City guard Joe Thuney has passed his physical and is now eligible to return from the physically unable to perform list. Chris Jones, Marquise Brown, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Nazeeh Johnson were all held out of practice on Sunday. In other news, the team signed defensive lineman Owen Carney and waived linebacker Luquay Washington over the weekend. The Chiefs open up preseason play on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars on August 10th.

After an exciting offseason that saw Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce trotting around the globe, he’s now back with the Chiefs seeking to make history. Kelce says that it hasn’t been much of a transition to get back to work at training camp, and calls St. Joseph his “sanctuary”

Kelce says the biggest challenge this offseason was getting his body ready after the toll taken on it last season. There is a lot of excitement this Chiefs Training Camp about new faces that promise to make an already dynamic team even more competitive. Kelce says he’s excited about a lot of those new pieces.

Praises his wife for raising their three children while he is at camp and preparing the move to KC.
