Cubs 6, Cardinals 2

The St. Louis Cardinals dropped their four-game series with the Chicago Cubs following a 6-2 loss at Wrigley Field yesterday. Masyn Winn hit a two-run home run in the third inning to give St. Louis an early lead, but the Northsiders scored two runs in each the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings. Miles Mikolas was charged with his ninth loss after surrendering four runs on eight hits in four innings. The Cards have dropped three of four. St. Louis is three games out of the final NL Wild Card spot and five-and-a-half back of Milwaukee for first place in the NL Central at 57-and-55. Andre Pallante starts for the Cardinals against the Mets tonight in a make-up game from May.
