The Royals failed to win their series finale against the Diamondbacks. Kansas City lost to Arizona 8-6 in the final outing of a three-game set at Kauffman Stadium. Vinnie Pasquantino led the way at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Maikel Garcia, Kyle Isbel, and Drew Waters each drove in a run in the losing effort. James McArthur was charged with the loss and blown save after he allowed five runs in the top of the ninth inning. The Royals have lost two in a row to drop to 56-and-47. They remain home to host the Chicago Cubs tomorrow night. Right-hander Brady Singer will start opposite Chicago righty Kyle Hendricks.
