SPRINGFIELD, Mo.—The Drury softball program had four named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom in the 2024 season. AJ Agers, Rylee Kolb, Sophia Luetticke, and Bailee Nixon were all honored as Academic All-District performers.
AJ Agers was a shortstop and pitcher for the Panthers and received honors after hitting .282 with four home runs and 27 runs batted in during 54 games. As a pitcher, she went 7-4 with a 2.90 earned run average. Agers, a junior from DeSoto, Missouri, is a Mathematics and carries a perfect 4.0 grade point average. She was also named a First Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference selection as a Utility/Pitcher.
Rylee Kolb earned the second Academic All-District selection of her career. The outfielder from Jefferson City, Missouri, hit .383 with two home runs and 29 RBIs while hitting in the lead-off position in Drury’s order. She stole 17 bases and had a slugging percentage of .515. Kolb was named a First Team All-GLVC selection and was a Second Team All-Midwest Region pick. The senior is a Criminology major with a 3.58 GPA.
Sophia Luetticke was also named to the Academic All-District team after posting a team-leading .393 average with 17 RBIs and 16 stolen bases. The sophomore from Chillicothe, Missouri, is a Management and Marketing major carried a 3.77 GPA and was a First Team All-GLVC selection.
Bailee Nixon won Academic All-District honors as a senior on the Panthers pitching staff. Nixon went 8-5 with a team-best 2.43 ERA and was a Third Team All-GLVC selection. The Medora, Illinois, native completed her senior year, and the Psychology major posted a 3.58 grade point average.
The Panthers finished the 2024 season with a 30-24 overall record and a 17-9 mark in the GLVC under head coach Brooke Gajewski, who completed her first season leading Drury’s program.
