The Willow Springs Bears welcomed the Liberty Eagles to town on a cold Friday night. The Eagles entered the contest (8-2) and the Bears (6-8). The game started with the Eagles scoring the first 6 points before the Bears responded. Willow Springs struggled with turnovers in the first quarter, while the Eagles rebounded well and shot the ball from behind the 3 point line. The Eagles led after the first 22-13.
Willow Springs started the second quarter much like Liberty started the game. A 5-0 scoring run got the Bears within 4. The Eagles had one only one player score in the second quarter but, that athlete had 12 points for them and gave them an 11 point lead going into halftime, 34-23.
The Bears came out of the half shooting very well. They were able to battle foul trouble and get within two points of the Eagles. Liberty would be able to get a little bit of a gap before the end of the quarter and lead 49-43. During the fourth quarter, turnovers for the Bears and the three point shooting for the Eagles, allowed Liberty to pull away. The Eagles win 68-54.
