Keeping with tradition, St. Louis Blues fans will be encouraged to sing the national anthem loud and proud before the Nov. 10 game vs. the San Jose Sharks for Salute to Military Night presented by Boeing.
The Veterans’ Day tradition began in 2016 as a way for fans to honor our nation’s servicemen and women during Salute to Military Night.
Members of the Blues Warrior Hockey team – made up of disabled veterans from throughout the area – will join the players on the ice for the anthem on Thursday.
Players will wear military-themed warmup jerseys before the game. The jerseys will be available in an online auction, along with Salute to Military mystery pucks, from Nov. 10 until Nov. 14 at 9 p.m. CT. To bid, text BLUES to 76278 or visit blues.givesmart.com. In addition, pucks used in pre-game warmups will be available at rinksidereserve.com beginning at 7:15 p.m.
Proceeds from Salute to Military Night will benefit Folds of Honor, H.E.R.O.E.S. Care and Blues Warrior Hockey.
Throughout the week, the Blues will wear American flag decals on their helmets as part of a week-long military tribute. In addition, Blues captain Ryan O’Reilly will host children at the Nov. 10 game who currently have a parent deployed overseas.
