Garylee has sports with HS basketball scores

Area youngsters in eighth grade and younger are invited to participate in Grizzly Basketball Camp Jan. 3-4 at the West Plains Civic Center. The camp is being hosted by (MSU-WP) Grizzly Basketball Head Coach Jared Phay, Assistant Coaches Michael Poindexter and Walt Belcher, and Graduate Assistant Coach Joe Greenwood. Participants will learn basketball fundamentals for all aspects of the game during the camp, Phay said. Campers have the option of attending one of two sessions: the morning session from 9 a.m. to noon the all-day session from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. All sessions will be divided into groups based on the participants’ skill levels, The cost of attending the morning is $65; the cost to attend the all-day camp is $120.

The Salem Greyhounds have punched their ticket to the Arkansas State Football Championship game this Saturday at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.  The Greyhounds won their Semifinal matchup versus Mansfield 38-20 and will next face Bismarck who is 13-0 on the season.  The Lions defeated Fordyce 49-12 in their semifinal matchup.  Kickoff is slated for 6:30 p.m
