Garylee has sports with local golf tournament

The Willow Springs YMCA and G&W Foods annual 2-Person Scramble golf tournament will be held on Saturday, April 20th at the Willow Springs Municipal Golf Course and will have a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start.  This tournament benefits YMCA programs and scholarship fund.  Flights and payout will depend on number of entries.  Players will have a chance to win Hole in One prizes and there will also be nice contest prizes on each hole, including cash prizes.  To register your team, stop by the Willow Springs YMCA at 405 W. Main St., or call 417-469-5101.  The registration deadline is April 16th.  The tournament is limited to 30 teams, so early registration is encouraged.

This summer the Grizzlies will be hosting two Summer Basketball Camps. June 17th-19th will be the Grizzlies Summer basketball camp. It is open for boys and girls 8th grade and down. Grizzlies Elite camp will be held June 20th and 21st and for both boys and girls in grades 7th – 12th. Willow Spring Mens Golf league will start up on Thursday May 2nd at the Thomas F Benyo Municipal Golf Course, it’s a 2 person 9 hole scramble every Thursday night First week will start up at 5pm. 

 

It’s opening day for the 2024 baseball season and the Cardinals will be on the road at LA to take on the Dodgers pregame at 215 and first pitch at 310 all on KUKU 100.3. MSU-WP Grizzly softball on KWPM DBL header 2pm & 4pm.

 

The Royals are taking the field for Opening Day. Kansas City will host the Minnesota Twins this afternoon at Kauffman Stadium. The Royals are looking to bounce back from their second straight last-place finish in the AL Central. Kansas City begins the season searching for its first postseason berth since winning the World Series in 2015. First pitch is 3:10.

 

The St. Louis Blues will try to get back in the win column when they host the Calgary Flames at Enterprise Center tonight. The Blues are coming off a 2-1 overtime loss against the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday. St. Louis is in fifth place in the Central Division with 80 points and a 38-30-and-4 record. The Blues are six points back of Vegas for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Tonight’s pregame starts at 630 on Q94.
