The St. Louis Blues gave up four goals in the second period of a 5-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings at Enterprise Center.  The Blues gave up the first five goals of the game before getting on the board. Jordan Binnington was pulled from goal after saving just 14 of the 19 shots he faced.  The 3-5-and-0 Blues are on a five-game losing streak.  St. Louis hosts the Islanders on Thursday night.

 Congratulations to Zizzer Softball standouts; Allyssa Joyner and Zoey Williams on being named to the All-Region Team! Allyssa Joyner: 1st Team Pitcher. Season Stats: 2.4 ERA and 179 season strikeouts Zoey Williams: 2nd Team Infielder. Season Stats: 424% batting average, 837% slugging average, 5 home runs, and 23 stolen bases. And making All Ozark Conference Team: 1st Team: Allyssa Joyner and Zoey Williams 2nd Team: Brooklyn Mead Honorable Mention: Baleigh Miller and Hannah Judd.

Big District Win on Saturday with both the Zizzers and the Lady Zizzers .  We believe this state qualification marks the 45 consecutive state appearances for the Zizzers and the 35 District Championship since the team’s entrance in 1978. This District Championship made 31 total for the Lady Zizzers and is the 38 Consecutive time for the Lady Zizzers to Qualify for the State Meet. The State Championship Meet will be held at Gans Creek in Columbia MO on Friday, November 4th.  The Lady Zizzers will race at 11:15 and the Zizzers will follow at 12:00.  The team will depart on Thursday, November 3 at 9AM from WPHS and would love to see the support of the community as they leave town.
