Grizzlies Fall to Raiders

The Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzlies traveled to Poplar Bluff to face the Three Rivers Raiders for the third time this season. The game started slow, as both teams struggled to score, being scoreless for the beginning two minutes. The Radiers were able to take the lid of the basket and begin the scoring. Each team struggled with turnovers at the start as well, especially the Grizzlies, with four turnovers on their first four possesions. West Plains continued to struggle offensively and could not find a rhythm. The Raiders were able to score with ease and took a lead into the locker room. Three Rivers led 44-20 at halftime.

The Grizzlies came out of the locker room looking like a different team, scoring on their first two possessions. West Plains then lost their rhythm once again. The Raiders however, stayed consistent and went on a offensive tear. Three Rivers was able to build a thirty point lead. The Grizzlies scored five points in the first ten minutes of the second half, helping the Raiders build their lead. Three Rivers would go onto to win, 87-47 MSU-WP falls to (12-16) overall and (5-7) in Region 16 play. The Grizzlies will be back in action on Wednesday at the West Plains Civic Center as they host Moberly Area Community College.
