The 2023 NFL Draft was held in Kansas City over the weekend and the Chiefs selected seven players in total, five defensive players and two offensive players. In the first round the Chiefs selected Felix Anudike-Uzomah a defensive end from Kansas State, Uzomah was born and raised in Lee’s Summit in the Kansas City area. In round two the Chiefs took Wideout Radhee Rice from SMU. The Chiefs selected Wanya Morris offensive lineman from Oklahoma in the third, Chamarri Conner DB from Virginia Tech in the fourth round, defensive end BJ Thompson from Stephen F. Austin in the fifth round. In the sixth round Keondre Coburn defensive tackle from Texas was taken and the Chiefs concluded their portion of the draft by selecting cornerback Nic Jones from Ball State.
