It was a heavy weight showdown as the 4-1 Mountain Grove Panthers traveled down to face the unbeaten Liberty Eagles on Homecoming night. Liberty scored first but Mountain Grove answered to tie the game at seven early in the second quarter, and then returned a interception for a second score to take a 13-7 halftime lead. Liberty came out in the second half and dominated the game scoring 20 unanswered to win 27-13/
