The St. Louis Cardinals dropped the rubber match of their weekend series against the Seattle Mariners 10-4 at Busch Stadium. St. Louis surrendered five runs in the first inning and trailed the rest of the way. Jordan Walker and Freddy Fermin both drove in a pair of runs in the losing effort, while Miles Mikolas was charged with his 11th loss after giving up six earned runs and one unearned run on nine hits in two innings. The Cardinals are six games back of the Mets and Braves for the final NL Wild Card spot with a 72-and-71 record. The Cardinals host the Reds tomorrow night.
