Mizzou-Boston College preview

One of just two games between ranked opponents occurs this Saturday morning on Faurot Field in Columbia, when the 6th-ranked Mizzou Tigers take on 24th-ranked Boston College at 11:45.

The Tigers are 2-0 after pitching back-to-back shutouts, but now face an ACC opponent in BC that is also off to a 2-0 start, including a road win at Florida State. BC is led by first-year head Bill O’Brien who had head coaching experience at Penn State and the Houston Texans of the NFL. He was also the offensive coordinator for Nick Saban at Alabama.

The Tigers should have Luther Burden back on the field this week. He left in the second quarter of the Buffalo win with an illness.

Head Coach Eli Drinkwitz said his team needs to clean things up on offense. Heading into Week 3, the Tigers are tied with LSU as the second most penalized team in the SEC with 17. All 17 penalties have come on offense.
