Former Missouri quarterback Brady Cook and wide receivers Luther Burden III and Theo Wease Jr. participated in the NFL Scouting Combine on Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium, completing a series of athletic tests and drills.
Luther Burden III, projected as a potential first-round pick, recorded an official 4.41-second 40-yard dash, which tied for the 14th-fastest time among all participating receivers. He also registered a 10-yard split of 1.54 seconds. In the receiver gauntlet drill, Burden completed the exercise without any drops, reaching speeds of nearly 20 miles per hour while running from sideline to sideline.
Theo Wease Jr. did not participate in receiver drills due to a hand injury sustained during Missouri’s Music City Bowl victory over Iowa. However, he completed the athletic testing, running an official 4.56-second 40-yard dash with a 1.56-second 10-yard split. He also recorded a 31-inch vertical leap and a broad jump of 9 feet, 9 inches. Wease has indicated that he plans to participate in receiver drills at Missouri’s pro day on March 21.
Brady Cook competed in all drills and recorded strong results across multiple categories. He posted a 4.59-second 40-yard dash with a 1.53-second 10-yard split. In the vertical jump, he reached 37 inches, and in the broad jump, he hit 10 feet, 8 inches—just one inch short of the all-time quarterback record set by Anthony Richardson. Cook also completed the three-cone drill in 7.01 seconds and the 20-yard shuttle in 4.17 seconds.
Cook finished as the top quarterback in every testing category, earning a Relative Athletic Score of 9.71 out of 10. That ranks him 30th out of 993 quarterbacks evaluated since 1987. The only Missouri quarterback to achieve a higher score was Blaine Gabbert, who posted a 9.92 in 2011. Cook also participated in the throwing drills to round out his performance.
