KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – No. 16 Mizzou Volleyball (8-3) fell to the Tennessee Lady Volunteers on Saturday night in a three-set battle (22-25, 22-25, 17-25), marking the Tigers first series loss of the spring season.
Redshirt junior Anna D’Cruz set a season high with 9 kills on .333 hitting. Sophomore Claudia Dillon tied her career-high against the Volunteers with 11 kills on .588 hitting and 14.5 points. She also set a season-high with two service aces.
The Tigers totaled 119 total attacks during the match along with 7 toal blocks. Redshirt Junior and setter Jaden Newsome finished the night with a total of 10 digs and 4 kills on .444 hitting. Freshman Emily Brown recorded 12 digs, the most of any Tiger, tonight in Knoxville.
