COLUMBIA, Mo. – Following a two-plus month layoff from its fall 2020 campaign, No. 17 Mizzou Volleyball is set to begin its spring 2021 season this weekend inside the Hearnes Center. The Tigers will welcome LSU to Mid-Missouri with first serve slated for 6 p.m. CT on Friday and 8 p.m. CT on Saturday.
Both contests inside the Hearnes Center will broadcast live digitally on SEC Network + via WatchESPN. Nate Gatter and former Mizzou Volleyball libero Riley Rohler (Sents) will be on the call.

Series Snapshot vs. LSU
- Mizzou leads the all-time series over LSU, 11-4.
- Mizzou and LSU last met a season ago (Nov. 30, 2019) with the Tigers from Columbia, Missouri, earning a sweep inside the Hearnes Center.
- Mizzou is currently riding an eight-match winning streak over LSU, dating back to the 2015 campaign. Mizzou has claimed four consecutive wins in matches taking place in Mid-Missouri.
Mizzou Notables Heading into Spring Play
- The Tigers concluded their fall 2020 season on a high note last November, tallying four consecutive wins over (RV) Arkansas and Ole Miss.
- With the entire NCAA Division I volleyball world returning to action this spring, Mizzou checked-in at No. 17 in the AVCA’s first edition of the Top-25 spring preseason poll. This past fall campaign, the Tigers joined Texas, Kentucky, Baylor, Notre Dame and Florida as the only programs to be ranked top 10 all fall season.
- Mizzou featured one of the nation’s top offenses this past fall, as its .290 hitting percentage (fifth), 13.50 kills per set (13th) and 1.41 aces per set (19th) all placed top 20 in the country.
- Two-time AVCA All-American, senior OH Kylie Deberg, remained one of the SEC’s top offensive threats with 5.50 points per set, 4.59 kills per set and 0.59 aces per set. Those impressive totals ranked fourth, ninth and 10th-best in the nation.
- Transfer sophomore OH Anna Dixon made an immediate impact for Mizzou, as her 113 kills (sixth), 118.5 points (ninth), 3.70 points per set (10th) and 3.53 kills per set (10th) all ranked top 10 in the SEC.
- Redshirt junior S Andrea Fuentes solidified her status as of the NCAA’s top setters after ranking 18th nationally in assists per set (10.16) and 23rd in total assists (325).
- Deberg, senior MB Tyanna Omazic, Fuentes and freshman DS Emily Brown each garnered weekly awards by the SEC office this fall. Mizzou swept the Week Two SEC Players of the Week awards on Oct. 26, marking only the second time in conference history that a single program claimed all five weekly accolades.
