TEAM SNAPSHOTS

BLUES It wasn’t pretty, but the St. Louis Blues (11-8-2) might have found the spark they needed in a back-and-forth 7-6 win against the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center on Saturday.

The teams tied an NHL record with six game-tying goals in the contest, which featured two goals from Marco Scandella – his first goals as a Blue.

Scandella’s second goal stood as the game-winner.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Blues, who found plenty of offense after scoring just once in their previous two outings.

“Coming off three losses, to have a game like this, a lot of emotions, obviously,” Scandella said after the game. “Guys getting into it, a lot of goals today, it was up and down. I feel like it was the perfect way to get off that losing streak.”

The Blues improved to 7-2-0 on the road this season.

DUCKS The Anaheim Ducks earned a point Saturday in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Vegas Golden Knights at Honda Center.

William Karlsson’s goal with 3:23 left in overtime sealed the deal for Vegas.

Rickard Rakell had a goal and an assist for Ducks, while goalie John Gibson made 25 saves.

Anaheim ranks seventh in the West Division with 17 points (6-10-5) and is 0-4-2 in their last six games.

MATCHUP STATS The Blues have won four straight and six of their last seven against the Ducks. In addition, the Blues have won six straight games at Honda Center, outscoring the Ducks 28-11 in that stretch.

Former Blues David Backes and Kevin Shattenkirk are both in their first season with the Ducks. Shattenkirk played in his 700th NHL game on Saturday.
