The Cardinals had just five hits during a 3-1 loss to the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. Paul Goldschmidt started the scoring with a solo shot in the top of the first inning, but the Reds tied the game in the home half of the frame and scored two runs in the second to take the lead for good. Lance Lynn was charged with his third loss after surrendering one earned run and two unearned runs on five hits in six innings. The Cardinals remain in third place in the NL Central at 25-and-27.
