Miles Mikolas had a disastrous start as the Cardinals lost to the Colorado Rockies 16-5 at Coors Field. Mikolas was charged with his ninth loss of the season after surrendering ten runs on 14 hits in two-and-two-thirds innings. Paul DeJong went deep in the losing effort. The loss snaps the Cardinals’ seven-game winning streak, but they still lead the NL Central by one game with a 60-and-49 record. Jose Quintana starts for St. Louis against Colorado tonight.
