The Royals scored twice in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat the Cleveland Guardians 2-1 at Kauffman Stadium. MJ Melendez tied the game with an RBI single in the final frame before Salvador Perez drove in the game-winning run with a sacrifice fly. Zack Greinke gave up one run over six innings in a no-decision, and Scott Barlow picked up his sixth win out of the bullpen. The Royals improve to 56-and-82, and they begin a home series with the Tigers tomorrow.
