Royals 4, Guardians 3 10 innings

The Royals overcame a late two-run deficit to beat the Cleveland Guardians 4-3 in a ten-inning contest in Kansas City. The Royals trailed by two in the bottom of the eighth before Edward Olivares and Nick Pratto each drove in a run to tie the game. Jose Ramirez had a straight steal of home in the top of the tenth to give Cleveland a one-run lead, but Freddy Fermin gave the Royals the win with a two-run walk-off double in the next half-inning. Aroldis Chapman earned his fourth win in relief as the Royals snapped a three-game losing streak. KC remains in fifth-place in the AL Central at 23-and-58. Alec Marsh starts for the Royals when they host the Dodgers tonight.
