The Royals scored late runs to sweep the White Sox 4-1 from Kauffman Stadium. The game was tied 1-1 in the eighth inning until Hunter Renfroe, Maikel Garcia and Dairon Blanco singled home runs to take the lead. Seth Lugo threw 103 pitches over all nine innings for his first career complete game. The Royals are third in the AL Central at 55-and-45. They remain home to host the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight. Left-hander Cole Ragans will start opposite Arizona righty Yilber Diaz.
