Nelson Velazquez hit his 15th home run of the season on a three-run blast in the first inning, while Bobby Witt Jr. totaled two hits and two runs scored. Angel Zerpa earned his third win after tossing five-and-a-third scoreless innings of relief. The Royals remain at the bottom of the AL Central and out of the playoff race at 51-and-102.
