Cole Ragans shined on the mound to help the Royals complete a three-game sweep of the AL Central rival Tigers. Kansas City downed Detroit 8-3 in the finale at Comerica Park. Ragans improved to 4-and-3 after striking out a dozen batters and allowing just one hit through six frames. Freddy Fermin went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored, while Nelson Velazquez belted his fourth homer of the season. The Royals have won six straight games and sit second in the AL Central at 32-and-19. They travel to play the Tampa Bay Rays tomorrow night.
