Erick Fedde was charged with his second loss of the Spring after getting tagged for six runs on seven hits in four innings. Lars Nootbaar had an RBI in the losing effort. St. Louis dropped to 8-and-10 in exhibition play. The Cardinals send Miles Mikolas to the mound against the Mets today.
The Royals have now lost four of their last five spring training contests. Kansas City fell to the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-2 in Scottsdale. Michael Massey led the team at the plate, going 3-for-3 with one RBI. Lucas Erceg was charged with the loss after allowing three runs through one inning of relief. Starter Cole Ragans threw four scoreless innings, three hits and a walk while striking out five. The Royals are now 10-8-and-1. They visit the Seattle Mariners this afternoon.
