(St. Louis, MO) — The St. Louis Cardinals are getting their ace back. Manager Oliver Marmol told the media that Sonny Gray will make his season debut Tuesday against the Philadelphia Phillies. The 34-year-old was supposed to start on Opening Day but was sidelined due to a hamstring strain. Gray is coming off an 8-and-8 season with the Minnesota Twins where he finished second in the AL Cy Young voting. He had a 2.79 ERA in 32 starts. Gray signed a three-year, 75-million-dollar deal with St. Louis in the offseason. The three-time All-star has a 3.47 ERA in his career with the Athletics, Yankees, Reds, and Twins.
