The Lady Zizzers will Face Smithville in the class 5 girls semifinals at noon on Friday in JQH Arena in Springfield, game will air on KDY 102.5 fm. With a win on Friday the Lady Zizzers will be back in the state class 5 championship game on Saturday at 2pm. Third place game will be played Saturday morning at 10 AM.

University of Missouri women’s basketball will appear in the 2022 Women’s National Invitational Tournament for the ninth time in program history. The Tigers will host the Drake Bulldogs (18-13) in the opening round of the tournament on Thursday, March 17 at 7 p.m. CT.The Tigers (18-12) will make a second-consecutive WNIT appearance. Mizzou is 5-9 all-time in WNIT play while advancing to the third round in 2003 and 2015.

 

Safety Justin Reid is heading into Kansas City and it would therefore appear the Honey Badger is heading out. Reid, previously with the Houston Texans, is signing a three-year, $31.5 million deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported. With the the 25-year-old Reid, ranked 58th in Gregg Rosenthal’s Top 101 NFL free agents of 2022, coming in to play for the reigning AFC West champions, it essentially solidifies that free-agent Tyrann Mathieu will be signing elsewhere after three memorable seasons in K.C.

 

The St. Louis Cardinals announced that they have signed RHP Zach McAllister to a minor league contract with an invitation to Major League Spring Training. McAllister, 34, last pitched in the Major Leagues in 2018 for Cleveland and Detroit.
