Spring season High School Baseball Action is underway for the West Plains Zizzers & Liberty Eagles. Both teams also faced each other in the Zizzers home opener on Tuesday, March 25th.
The Liberty Eagles: First made an 11-0 victory to the Dora Falcons in the Day one of Champs Fitness Wood bat Classic last weekend, March 21st & 22nd. They would later fall 4-3 over Portageville in Game two and 11-2 over East Carter in their third game on Day Two.
The West Plains Zizzers: Also played three games in the Harrison Tourney @ Pea Ridge Arkansas last weekend. Zizzers fell to Pea Ridge in their first matchup, 5-4. They would later defeat Fair Grove 4-2 & Lakeland 4-3.
In this past Tuesday’s matchup;, The Zizzers pitched nearly a perfect game with the exception of a tricky Fourth inning. Eagles only had one run during the Second inning and fell 15-0. On Wednesday, The Zizzers faced Willard and were upset 8-2.
