The Missouri State University – West Plains Grizzlies took on the North Arkansas College Pioneers at the West Plains Civic Center tonight, November 30, 2024.
The Grizzlies start the game with the ball, getting a basket right of the bat. The Grizzlies loose the winning score fast to the North Arkansas Pioneers. The grizzlies never fall to far behind the leading score of the Pioneers, down by only one, 10 to 9, at 6 minutes into the game. After a couple quick moves and sharp shots, the Grizzlies then pull ahead again, bringing the score to a tie of 12 to 12 before taking the lead. They score a three pointer bringing the score to 15 to 12 and follow that closely with another. The score at 20 to 14 with 11 points left of the first half. With eight minutes left, the Pioneers pull ahead again bringing the score to 25-22.The first half ends with the Pioneers in the lead, the score at 43 to 39.
The second half starts with the Pioneers making a basket, bringing the score to 45 to 39. The last half moves fast with the Pioneers quickly taking a 15 point lead of 56 to 43. A burst of speed and game hits both teams, rocketing the score on both sides. The Grizzles score bring the point count to 54 and the Pioneers score still in the lead with 68 points. The games ends with the Pioneers on top with a score of 72 to 62.
The Grizzlies will play again on December 6, 2024, at Arkansas State Newport. The game will start at 7:00 pm.
