The Tigers scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to rally for a 6-4 win over the Royals in Detroit. Kerry Carpenter smoked a three-run homer with two outs in the inning to put the Tigers up for good. Detroit overcame a four-run deficit in the come-from-behind victory. Tyler Alexander earned his second win out of the pen, while Alex Lange picked up his 11th save. Detroit has won four of five. Bobby Witt Jr. and Maikel Garcia each went deep in the losing effort. Taylor Clarke was charged with his first loss in relief. Kansas City has dropped 12 of its last 13 contests.
