Women’s Basketball Renews Rivalry With No. 13 Oklahoma

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri women’s basketball will travel to face No. 13 Oklahoma at 6 p.m. on Thursday. The road contest will stream live on SECN+.

Missouri is coming off a loss to Florida on Sunday.

Junior guard Ashton Judd and sophomore guard Grace Slaughter led Missouri with 18 and 17 points, respectively against the Gators.

Redshirt sophomore guard Averi Kroenke notched a career high 11 points against Florida.

Judd has averaged 14.5 points and 5.4 rebounds in the last 10 games after averaging 7.5 and 4.4 in the first eight contests.

Graduate forward Angelique Ngalakulondi and senior forward Laniah Randle each recorded double-doubles against Georgia (Jan. 9) marking the first time two Tigers have done so since Dec. 6, 2023 against Missouri State.

Slaughter ranks fifth in the conference in free throw percentage at 84.2.

Sophomore guard Abbey Schreacke is second in the SEC and is tied for 23rd nationally with 45 3-pointers this season. Schreacke also ranks sixth in the SEC in 3-point percentage (40.2)

As a team, the Tigers lead the SEC and are seventh nationally in 3-point percentage at 38.31 percent.

Slaughter is eighth in the country in 3-point percentage (45.9) among athletes who average 1.5+ makes per game this season.

Kroenke ranks fourth in the SEC and 17th in the country with a 2.86 assist-to-turnover ratio.

The contest will mark the 60th overall meeting between the programs with Oklahoma leading the all-time series 30-29.

The game will mark the first SEC matchup and the first tilt since March 8, 2012 in the Big 12 tournament.

Oklahoma enters Thursday at 14-3 including a 2-2 mark in SEC play following a win over Texas A&M on Sunday.

The Sooners are coached by Jennie Baranczyk who is in her fourth year with the program and has amassed a 88-29 record.

Baranczyk spent nine years at Drake where she posted a 192-96 mark.

Oklahoma is led by Third Team All-American Raegan Beers who averages 17.2 points and 9.2 rebounds.
