Yankees 11, Royals 5

The Royals lost their fourth straight game. Kansas City fell to the New York Yankees 11-5 in the third outing of a four-game series at Kauffman Stadium. Bobby Witt Jr. was 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a pair of runs scored. Kyle Isbel finished the game 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Starting pitcher Dan Altavilla was charged with his first loss after he allowed five runs in just one-third of an inning. The Royals are now 39-and-30 heading into the series finale against New York this afternoon. Right-hander Alec Marsh is scheduled to start opposite Yankees southpaw Nestor Cortes.
