The Kansas City Royals were shut out again by the Yankees, falling 7-0 in New York. The Royals managed just four hits against Gerrit Cole and the Yankees pitching staff. Kansas City’s best scoring chance came in the third inning when Michael Massey doubled and Maikel Garcia followed with a two-out single to right, but Aaron Judge threw Massey out at the plate to end the threat. The Royals have now dropped to 22-and-34 on the season and will open a three-game road series in Texas Friday.
